Announcement time: I’ve come to a decision, we’re just not getting a steady enough stream of Reno news, so we’re going to sunset this Patreon group by archiving it.
We will pause one more month and then sunset March 1, 2023.
Thanks so much for all of your support and input, it’s meant a lot to us! We’re sorry this hasn’t become a huge group with thousands of dollars of monthly support.
We did actually spend a few hundred dollars on national Facebook advertising with a pretty good video, and we got good response in terms of ad clicks. Unfortunately, almost no one who came to the seethereno.com site this way decided to support the effort to restore the “Reno.”
We want to give those of you who were early and steadfast a heartfelt thanks for your support. We’re not happy to be closing this Patreon but it’s better than keeping it on life support, in our view.
DONATION REFUNDS
Your donations can be refunded (minus a small fee for me to take the money out to send to you. I can’t refund donations more than 3 months old in the Patreon interface, so I’ll have to do this by Venmo or Paypal.)
If you would like your donation to go to the V&T, please let me know, email me at jim@virginiatruckee.com. Alternatively, email me there to give me your Venmo or Paypal address. You have until 2/15/23 to email me or I’ll assume you want the money donated to the V&T.
If I don’t get an email from you, or if you want the money to go to the V&T, I’ll pull the money and donate it directly on the seethereno.com site to the V&T.
Thanks again for all your support. I’ll just say in closing, I met a lot of you at the Great Western Steam Up. That was a once in a lifetime event and I’ll remember you all well. Nice meeting everyone!
