Here’s a video that we’re sure isn’t a blockbuster, but it’s interesting nonetheless.
It shows the removal of the cowcatcher / pilot, this one is an exception because we’re putting it on Youtube as well and releasing this post to all tiers. VIP members, the next videos are going to be worth the price of admission!
We’re currently working on the interviews we did with Tom Gray, Kyle Wyatt, Taylor McCready and a short one with Kyle Gabba, those will be posted with early access for VIP patrons, then released to Official Patrons about a week later. We expect to have those posted in a few days.
Part of the interview with Tom shows him going over some things he’s already discussed here on Patreon, so it’s not new and we’ll put that part of the interview on YouTube. We’ll put all the new stuff up here on Patreon, first to the VIP tier and then to Official Patrons about a week and a half to two weeks later.
This video shows a day at the Nevada State Railroad Museum after the Great Western Steam Up when the Reno is being readied for transport back to the V&T.
The cowcatcher / pilot on the Reno is really a piece of work. It was built by Old Tucson Studios after the old one burned in the fire in 1996.
We went back and forth on the pacing of this video, at first we were showing more complete shots but we think it dragged on too long.
Anyway we hope you enjoy, and do us a favor, we forget the name of the piece of equipment that’s being used to move the cowcatcher, please put it in the comments, thanks!
